The winners of the FIFA World Cup 2026 final will receive ‘bespoke championship rings’ in addition to the trophy and gold medals, marking the first time such an honour will be presented at a FIFA competition.
Drawing inspiration from a storied American sporting tradition, these custom pieces of jewellery will be presented to the tournament champions following the final between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday.
A limited run of 2,026 individually numbered rings will be created to commemorate this milestone event. Out of this collection, 30 rings are set aside exclusively for members of the victorious squad. The remaining 1,996 rings will be made available to football fans globally as an official licensed memorabilia product.
Each ring is designed to showcase the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side, while the opposite side will be personalised to reflect the visual identity of the winning nation. Every single piece will be individually numbered, tailored for a custom fit, and accompanied by an official certificate of authenticity.
Immediately after the final, the winning team’s captain and head coach will receive temporary championship rings during the celebrations. The final versions of the 30 winners’ rings will later be custom-made and officially presented to ensure a personalised fit, creating a lasting memento of their World Cup triumph.
Spain and Argentina set for blockbuster World Cup final
Defending champions Argentina booked their place in the final by securing a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over England, overcoming a one-goal deficit thanks to a late equaliser from Enzo Fernandez and a stoppage-time match-winner from Lautaro Martinez. The crushing defeat put an abrupt end to England’s dreams of reaching their first World Cup final since 1966.
Spain, meanwhile, reached the final for the first time since their historic 2010 victory with a commanding 2-0 win against France. Young star Lamine Yamal played a crucial role in the victory, winning a first-half penalty after dispossessing Lucas Digne, which Mikel Oyarzabal confidently converted in the 22nd minute. Pedro Porro added the second to seal a place in the showpiece event for Spain.
