The Instagram post, part of a new brand campaign, presents Messi’s international career in what could be seen as a bar receipt, with his goals, assists, minutes played, and major honours listed as entries.
This creative promotion utilises the receipt design as a symbolic representation of the skipper’s extraordinary international career, showing his statistics and trophy haul as a comprehensive tally. Listed among his top accolades are Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup victory, back-to-back Copa America triumphs, an Olympic gold medal, and the Finalissima medal.
Beyond the numbers, the receipt acknowledges his broader cultural influence, noting the millions of supporters he has inspired throughout his international career.

The campaign does not mince words. Instead of a standard subtotal or tip line, the receipt rolls out Messi’s achievements line by line before ending with a conclusion at the bottom: “GOAT debate-settled”.
The social media update follows Messi’s final decision to step away from international football, capping off a successful career with the national team.
After years of major tournament heartbreak, most notably losing the 2014 World Cup final to Germany, Messi guided Argentina to World Cup success in 2022 by overcoming France in the final, securing the country’s first world title in 36 years.
