Wife becky behind Jamie’s Success

Former English Premier League star Jamie Vardy revealed how an honest conversation with wife Rebekah helped him change his lifestyle and gain self-confidence, ultimately propelling him to be the superhero in Leicester City’s title-winning run in 2015-16.
In Vardy’s recently released documentary, Rebakah, 44, also known as Becky, explains how the striker had gone out drinking with his friends the day he was supposed to accompany her for a baby scan. That led to a conversation between the two in which Vardy expressed doubts over being able to live up to the club’s expectations.
Rebekah then responded: “Why do you doubt yourself so much? You have an incredible opportunity to do something special. You are going to screw up everything you’ve worked so bloody hard for if you don’t change your lifestyle choices.”
That was the turning point in his career Vardy, 39, said. “What she was saying was right. It [the drinking] needed to stop. I needed to hear it. She was always pushing me in the right direction and it was 100 percent what I needed,” said Vardy, who currently plays for Cremonese in Serie A.
