Real Madrid slap Valverde, Tchouameni with Rs 5 cr fine for dressing room fight

Real Madrid, on Friday, fined Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde €500,000 (approx Rs 5 cr) each after a clash that left the latter needing stitches. The club did not impose any sporting sanctions on them, thus concluding the matter.
Valverde had reportedly  refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand on Thursday after a fight between the two a day earlier, and later fouled him during training, leading to a scrap between the two in the dressing room.
Spanish publication Marca had earlier reported that the cut to Valverde’s head was caused unintentionally and was not a direct result of Tchouameni’s punch.
