According to Spanish publication Marca, Mbappe, who is currently nursing a muscle strain, was spotted dining at a restaurant in Cagliari with Exposito, a Spanish actress. Videos also surfaced online showing the couple enjoying a romantic cruise on a yacht.
Fans are particularly upset about the timing of Mbappe’s getaway, considering Madrid’s La Liga title hopes are in tatters — they trail Barcelona by 14 points with five games to go. Also, Mbappe is reportedly in danger of missing next weekend’s El Clasico.
Fans believe he should focus on getting fit as soon as possible. Some even suggest that he should maintain a low profile as Madrid are on course to end the season with no silverware. According to French publication Le Parisien, one fan called Mbappe’s behaviour “unacceptable,” while another stated: “He doesn’t care about the club.”
